BundesIdent is a new service that allows you to identify yourself online. The service works by scanning your personal information on your ID card. With the app, you can identify yourself and other people online, and create your own personal profile.
How does it work?
To use the app, you first need to have an active Internet connection, a smartphone that has an NFC (near-field communication) interface, and the latest version of the app. The first step is to activate the online ID function on your ID card. Next, you need to enter the 6-digit PIN that you will use to identify yourself online. You can use the PIN to identify yourself on a computer or to login to the service. After that, you can see the information that the app has read from your ID card.
